I don't know about you, but I'm loving the high-waisted paper bag shorts and I hope it's a "trend" to stay. My mom has always laughed about how cyclical fashion is and of course let me know during all the comebacks in my childhood - and now too if I'm being honest. I used to raid her closet because her "old" clothes became trendy again and I had easy access to add to my wardrobe.
I'm so glad that the "super low rise" style is out because there were far too many visuals during that time I wish I could have avoided (if you know what I mean...). After having Stevie my body isn't the same as it used to be and I love being able to find cute, but comfortable clothes that fit will even though I'm not my "usual size". That is a whole other adjustment though.
The ruching at the waist makes the shorts look classy and also helps hide that extra weight I'm still carrying around, lol! The tie at the top is a cute addition and the fact that they're generally longing making them more modest is a huge plus. I scored some of my favorite dress pairs at Walmart actually from their Time & Tru brand, but they are all sold out. I recently got a pair of paper bag style jean shorts from Amazon and I'm obsessed, I'm fighting the urge to buy more.... I found some great other pairs and linked them below. Are you on the paper bag shorts trend? Do you prefer dress or Jeans?
This was the perfect outfit for running all around Hobby Lobby & if you missed that post click here to read all about my sale finds!
