Did you read anything this month? I have started tracking what I'm reading not only by year but also by month and have been having so much fun seeing what I end up reading. Some months are busier than others but I was able to read quite a few during February! I have soccer coming up for the next few months so I know my book number will probably be lower but that's okay! It's about having fun reading not the amount that you read.
This month I read 15 books, and am still currently reading 5. I mayyy have been a little overzealous with my current reads but honestly I just couldn't decide and kept switching it up between dark, romance, and fantasy. If you don't use Storygraph, it's a fun way to track moods, pages, format, and genre. Maybe it's the math teacher in me but I love all the graphs it shows you where you can break down what you are reading. If you get it add me because I love seeing what other people read along with Goodreads! I definitely have read more romance but a lot of that was dark romance/fantasy romance as well. It's so cool how you can click on each bar and see what the books are classified as!
Oh my, what I thought was going to be a lighthearted fantasy novel turned into so much more! I found a Court of Thorns and Roses in a discounted section and snagged it because the storyline sounded interesting. Here I am a month later reading another one of Sarah J Maas’ series because I am hooked. I saw a few people mention that it was hard to read, the plot took too long to develop, there isn’t enough foreshadowing, etc, but in my mind that makes me want to read more because I had to know what was happening. Books are often too predictable, you know how the love story will end, the hero is who you expected. Of course some things are still predictable but it was still fun to see how the rest turned out in this series because some things happened that did surprise me a little!
