I've been in the Bookstagram world for about a year now and I can personally say that I absolutely LOVE it! It is such a fun community where you can not only share your love of books and reviews, but get so many recommendations, reviews, and a sense of comradery with fellow book lovers. I have found that sometimes I don't know what to post, and have tried to find inspiration with others but I don't want to just copy what they are doing. Each month now I have started creating a post with ideas for the month including fun holidays, themed ideas based on the month or season, book releases, and more. I have found it so fun and also helpful for myself to be more creative and consistent with planning my content! Although some months have traditional holidays, I love finding the "fun" ones or the more obscure ones and turning them into a way to make content! Obviously December has well know holidays such as Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years eve, but I had so much fun finding other days to celebrate and create themes around. Dec 1- National Women Support Women Day Dec 3- Candle Day Dec 11 - International Mountain Day Dec 12- Gingerbread Day Dec 13- National Cocoa Day So many cute ways to create content and not just for bookstagram! If you are a lifestyle or mom blogger too these would be perfect ways to theme your content as well! Again going off the theme of December and Winter I created different themed ideas for what else you can do to create content. I for one love baking during this time of year so shared different ways to use baked goods in your feed. Same with holiday spirit, movies, and seasonal themes. Again I did this mainly for my book account but these can also be used for anyone trying to come up with content planning ideas! I highlight other holidays that could be fun to create for, but I may not have specific ideas for them just for book content. But as someone who is a family, faith, or foodie blogger these could totally work! I also really started to enjoy highlighting new books that are being released. I am a huge Kindle Unlimited advocate - for me the cost is worth it for how many books I read monthly, so I really like to share these releases. I add other ideas that can be used for reels or posts as well - anyone could do "what this week" for a weekly recap, a cozy photo feed, or something they plan on doing before the end of the year - not just what they're reading. Same along with goals! I surpassed my reading goal this year, but because I'm about to have a big life change with my second child I will definitely be modifying my reading goal and talking about that on my Instagram. If you enjoyed this and want to see more content and follow along with my book journey I would love it if you follow me on Insta! I enjoy finding new friends to follow back in this community and sharing our love of all things books!
