Where the Crawdads Sing- Delia Owens - This was one of our book club reads and I absolutely loved it. The writing still of The Marsh vs the courtroom was so good. The descriptive writing made me really be able to visualize everything I was reading, I loved seeing the growth of Kya and how she learns and survives through her life and relationships. Plus the ending was just absolutely amazing

It Ends with Us- Colleen Hoover - I heard this book was great; I went into reading it without totally knowing what it was about and I got wrecked. Oh my goodness this story was amazing. It’s about breaking the cycle of abuse and the ending was just amazing and I cannot wait for her to continue this story. Ps some people I saw reviewing this said they didn’t like it at all because of how the abuse (how she kept going back, making excuses etc), was but it was actually based on her parents and what it takes to walk away.

The Hating Game - Sally Thorne - I saw this book all over Instagram and snagged it when I saw it on sale at Target, I’ve just started reading romance novels this year and I’m pretty hooked! I like a story that I get swept up on and this one definitely did that since I couldn’t put it down. I loved the characters, how they obviously were going to fall in love, but loved the ride to get there. Definitely recommend the book over the movie, I watched it to compare, it was cute but I would have never watched it if I didn’t read the book first.

People We Meet on Vacation - Emily Henry - I love friends to lover stories, but this one didn’t do it for me. Once I realized different chapters were in the past I knew it would take me pretty much the whole story to find out this “big thing” that halted their friendship and honestly I wasn’t impressed with it. Their chemistry wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be and it felt like Poppy just wanted him because he’s always been around and not because she was so deeply in love. It wasn’t a bad read but not one I would read again.

The Deal - Elle Kennedy - Did I buy this majorly discounted on my kindle as a smutty type of book? Absolutely? Did I plan on loving it? Of course not….but I did and now I want to read the other stories this set. TW: r@pe is a big part of Hannah’s character but it is important to the story.
I loved this story, it was so easy to read, obviously you can predict what’s going to happen, I knew there would be a twist but not what I expected. I read it in a day and loved Garret’s character- yes he was pushy and cocky but also sweet especially when you realize his backstory. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️???
Beach Read - Emily Henry
As I started reading this and thought about the fact that an author wrote a story about two different authors writing their stories is genius. Then I read her notes for book discussions and she said she had writers block and that’s how this story of two writers experiencing the same thing came about and I love it even more! I enjoyed how these two different authors came together to share their experiences to help share how they find inspiration for their stories. Obviously it’s predictable but I love the little surprises along the way and of course the super cute ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?
Have you read any of these, or are they on your to be read list? Let me know in the comments!
