Mothers Day Guide

Hey friends, here to talk about Mothers Day!  Let's be honest, moms deserve it all - I am one so I can say this right?  If you are like me and you buy most things yourself, you save the holidays for something that is a little more special/pricey.  To be honest, I budget my money and purchase what I want and what I will use, BUT if you're not like that and ask for the big stuff I'm here for you too.  This has been a tough year, and it's not the year for cheap jewelry or handbags that you don't really need. This is the year to treat your mom, wife, partner, mother in law, or even yourself with something nice that is also practical.

I had been wanting an espresso machine forever and when the pandemic hit last year I told my husband that I really wanted an espresso machine for Mothers Day because I figured we wouldn't be going out for coffee much anymore.  We have officially had it for over a year and although the upfront cost is more expensive - I have made myself what would be a $4-$5 drink from a coffee shop daily! I did the math and I've saved hundreds of dollars this year by using my espresso machine.  We buy our beans in bulk and occasionally get special beans but the saved cost far outweighs the one time cost of the machine.  This is probably one of the best gifts that I have gotten and it's perfect for the coffee lover!

Next up on the list is a good vacuum or mop!  I feel like with two dogs, two adults, and a toddler our floors always need to be cleaned and I am here for the fancy machines!  I bought our Dyson years ago on black Friday and would do it again in a heartbeat!  I still remember the first time I used it and questioned if my old vacuum even did anything because it was absolutely disgusting.  If you want something with a bigger tank I would suggest one of the standup ones, but I love the handheld and how easy it is to transport around my house and change the attachments to use on my couch and rugs.

I have been using a traditional mop and swifter for a while but my friend told me about Bissel so once I found a sale (on sale now!) I snagged the cross wave pet pro.  You guys....it vacuums and mops at the same time and you will be absolutely disgusted by what the tank looks like when you are done!  If you are a perfectionist I will let you know because it is like a vacuum you will have the space between the vacuum and wall that doesn't get mopped because of the frame.  I still think it is worth every penny and it's easy to clean as well!

But, if you are like wait a second these are too pricey I can't do that I undertand and linked some of my personal faves that would also make great gifts!  I have all of these items linked - the Trestique was my gift to myself this year!  I actually bought my mom a pair of these sandals as well because they are so cute and perfect to give your outfit a little sparkle!
