I love finding a good deal, and with Black Friday coming up it's always a good time to find what you're looking for! I used to go a little crazy for the deals, but over time I have learned to make a list of what I actually need/am looking for and not spend too much on things that are unnecessary. One thing I started doing when shopping for gifts is limiting gifts to a "want" "need" "wear" "read" and "do", that way I don't overspend and I make sure I am being thoughtful about my gifts.

I can't believe how fast the summer is flying by! June is almost over and then it will be soon be back to school season where I get super busy again. Hey friends, it’s been a minute since I’ve been on here. This school year has gotten busy and the end of the year is always crazy with state testing. I finally have some time and decided to share my empties for the week and if I recommend repurchasing them or not.
First up is the protect + plump hydrating moisturizer from Tula. I love the pump and how good this feels on my face. I definitely took off the top to scrape as much product out as possible! I have not repurchased this yet because I’m trying their vitamin c moisturizer now but this one is definitely on my list to buy again! If you’re interested you can use my link here and get 15% off your purchase at Tula.
Hey friends, welcome back to my weekly empties! I love sharing products with you that I have used and recommend and even those that I'm not sure I would purchase again. Most of the time they are beauty products but I may throw in a few others that I feel strongly about! *If you purchase through my links I will make a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you for supporting me! I am SO excited to say I am finally a TULA Brand Ambassador! I love TULA and have been ordering from them for a while now. My last empties post also included some of these same products because I seriously use them daily! The filter blurring primer is an every day item for me. I have this on auto order along with the sunscreen and facewash because they're just so good! I love the formula and how it really does blend in with your skin. I have been using Luna which is meant for fair to light skin tones, but I purchased First Light this next time - meant for all skin tones to see if there is a difference.
One of my friends at work asked me what is the thing you get excited to finish. Me being me, I said a really good meal. And when I asked her what hers was she said when she finishes a product, she just feels so accomplished that she finally finished an entire bottle. That got me thinking, that is something that I love doing and that’s something that I think that I want to start sharing. I’ve seen a few bloggers do it, and I want to talk to you guys about my empties and my review of the product. So I’m gonna share my empties and whether or not I would repurchase or go in a different direction.

I go through cycles where I consistently go to a salon and have my nails done but I get sick of the time and cost that it takes. When the pandemic hit I saw sooo many people trying to do their nails at home and I loved it! It's fun to learn a new hobby and also use it as some self care. I've done my nails at home for years and have spent time learning how to do my own acrylics, gel, dip, and builder gel. Through all of these I've got to say that builder gel is by far my favorite and one that I plan on continuing. ,Acrylic can be very messy and strong at home. And if you mess up it's a bigger hassle to fix. Dip is great but it felt more damaging to my nails and let's be real, it's a pain in the butt to remove! Gel was easy and felt less damaging, but with weightlifting I tend to still chip them and because it's my natural nail they would break more. Then enters builder gel....
All the sales are happening and if you're like me you like to get your holiday shopping done early. If you didn't know Target is doing their deal days right now (great price matching to Prime day!) The sale ends tomorrow though so hurry for these online only specials! P.S if you useRakuten you can also activate 1% cash back on certain products!

Right now they havefurniture deals up to 50% off! I am loving all these pieces and want to add a few to our home (even though I need a little more space....) I have been dying for a fireplace and this one is so cute! My sister has a giant bean bag in their living room that my little one loves and this one is such a great deal! Plus all the modern style furniture is so clean it makes me want to redo my whole house!
There are SO many kitchen sales going on right now some are too good to pass up! This indoor grill is so cool I definitely want to snag one of these. Quite a few of my friends have air fryers and this one is $40 off. If you don't have a kitchen aid already you are missing out and this one has a glass bowl and is beautiful! We still have our standard Keurig (we use a reusable filter not pods) and they are great for quick coffee or hot water for tea. I don't know about you but we are slowly converting all our food storage to glass and I love these containers!
There are SO many more deals so check them out below:
I haven't talked about skincare in a while (or ever?) and that's one thing I've really been focusing on during this whole Covid stuck-at-home-thing. When I was younger I got hormonal cystic acne and it was just horrible. I was left with scarring, still have some deep pores, and will occasionally get cystic acne still. I've been trying to find a skincare routine that is more natural while still being effective and in comes Derma E. I have been using some of their products already (Vitamin E oil & Anti-wrinkle treatment oil) and was really excited to try out their Vitamin C skincare line. Vitamin C has antioxidant properties so the idea of brighter and smoother skin sounded great to me! I got 5 items from their line so I'm going to tell you how I felt about them!

Disclosure: I received this product complimentary for testing purposes for an exchange for an honest review.
Let me start by saying I’m an avid coffee and soda drinker so I was a little skeptical of how effective this product would be. I’ve used other at home whitening products that promise great results - like the expensive toothpaste, whitening strips, and charcoal powder, yet saw little changes that made me really commit to the product.
As I’ve gotten older my gums have gotten more sensitive so I prefer a product that won’t cause my gums to feel like they’re bleeding (if you have sensitive gums, you know what I mean!). That’s one of the main factors that got me interested in trying Smile Brilliant, after you whiten each time, they have a desensitizing gel to use. When I first opened the kit it was neatly arranged with all the materials to make your own tray along with the whitening and desensitizing gel. The instructions were step by step and very easy to follow with guides for each part. I was a little worried about my molds but they really go above and beyond by giving you extra material and they also give you the option to send in a picture of your mold to get double checked if you’re worried. |
